Welcome to Beast the Odds, back and better than ever with Start EM Sit EM Week 13 edition. The playoff push is here. Hopefully you have been following along this season and are in the hunt or have locked up your spot. There have been a lot of difficulties this season for some key Fantasy Football position players, but there have also been some great breakout players. Here are this week’s Start EM Sit EM Week 13 picks.
WR Devanta Adams, Green Bay Packers
Devanta Adams has been on an absolute tear over the last 6 games. Adams has produced two, 20 points outputs and only scored under double digits once in that span. It is clear, Adams is the go to receiver in the Packers offense. Jordy Nelson is on the field but is clearly not back to a 100%. The Packers offense is also without any semblance of a running game. Their top running back, James Starks, is primarily a blocker and a receiving option out of the backfield. You may be tempted to sit Adams this week due to the match-up against the Houston Texans, but don’t. Adams will get several opportunities and with his speed and skill it only takes one big play.
RB Theo Riddick, Detroit Lions
Theo Riddick has been very frustrating this season. Most thought that when Abdullah went down, Riddick would vault into a solid RB1 option. This has not been the case. Riddick has been oft injured and has been up and down at best. That being said, since the bye week Riddick has been able to sustain his touches over two weeks. Riddick is a real threat in the passing game out of the backfield and has also seen his carries rise. This week the Lions take on the Saints who have a notoriously weak defense. Look for Riddick to break out this week.
WR Doug Baldwin, Seattle Seahawks
Doug Baldwin is being his usual self this season. Just like his team, the Seattle Seahawks, Baldwin started slow and has picked up his play in the last 4-5 weeks. Outside of this performance last week in Tampa Bay, Baldwin performed well against three of the toughest defenses in the league, New England, Philadelphia, and Buffalo. This week the Carolina Panthers are coming to town. Their secondary has been a mess all season due to the loss of Josh Norman. Baldwin’s four top games of the season have come at home, look for that trend to continue this week.
WR Cole Beasley, Dallas Cowboys
Cole Beasley is a borderline sleeper this week, but I am going to include him in my Must Starts this week. The Minnesota Vikings are riding a defensive reputation they built early in the season against bad teams. While their defensive ranks still look good, they have clearly not been performing over the last 2-4 weeks. However, the Vikings run defense has remained stout which should result in more targets for Beasley whose catches are often short passes. The Vikings top CB will be busy with Dez Bryant and Beasley will be free to navigate the middle where they are most vulnerable.
WR Allen Robinson, Jacksonville Jaguars
RB Frank Gore, Indianapolis Colts
WR Kenny Britt, LA Rams
What’s the Bottom Line:
There it is, the Beast the Odds Start EM Sit EM Week 13. We will be back tomorrow with our fourth edition of CASH MONEY LOCK. We are 2-1 with our picks so far. Get on this train. Do not miss this week’s CASH MONEY LOCK.
